The world is doing an excellent job in “helping” you to fail. It is stripping you of your connections to others and feeding you false friends and “likes” and “thumbs ups” (thumbs ups? Huh? Is that even a word?) It is decimating your attention span and ability to concentrate. Problem solving? Creativity? Perseverance? Resilience? What are those? Things of the past we might one day study as the “turning point” in civilization. Our phones are more important than people and AI can do things better. We willingly destroy the outside world so we can have “all the latest” inside our own little boxes. Maybe I am wrong (I hope so), but it seems pretty dire.
It does NOT NEED to be this way. Go meet a friend. Share a hug when you meet. Share a cup of coffee or tea or a pint. Call your family. Tell people you love them. Travel. Smile. Say hello and good morning to others and actually mean it. Read books. Go search for your favorite spot in nature. Think about a problem in this world that concerns you and try to solve it. Don’t even try, just solve it! Look at your kids and KNOW you are responsible for the world they inherit. Do something good. Do LOTS of good things! BE AMAZING! BE KIND! MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE!
Just because you are MEANT to fail, DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO!
Connect.
I think that’s the key. If we can connect we can help negate the rest.
